Using randomized control trials, we are testing the following BE strategies with a 2015-16 cohort of preschoolers:

  • Personalized invitations to GRS kickoffs with newly branded visual cues of the GRS curriculum coupled with teacher endorsement and positive parent affirmation;
  • Strategic text and social media reminders to focus caregivers’ limited attention;
  • Reframed expectations to engage multiple caregivers in GRS activities out of school and creating tangible goals to spend more time on GRS activities;
  • Small incentives, including financial rewards (raffles) and behavioral encouragements (goal charts and show-and-tell of favorite GRS activities).
